May OwlCrate Unboxing & Thoughts!

OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box service. Every month you receive a themed box filled with one Young Adult (occasionally Adult) newly released, hardcover book, along with 3-5 bookish items that correspond with the theme.
OwlCrates are $29.99 per month before shipping. They do ship internationally.
OwlCrate contacted me, and they offered to send me the May box for free in return for an honest review. The May theme is "Parallel Worlds." Thank you so much OwlCrate!
Keep reading to get more information about OwlCrate, see what was inside the box, and what I thought of it!

What is inside the May box:

First is a little notebook from Obvious State.
It's made with 100% recycled USA paper and vegetable dye inks. The E. E. Cummings quote fits nicely with the theme of the box. This could be a good notebook to keep in a purse to jot down notes or thoughts.

Also included, temporary tattoos featuring artwork from the original Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, which were created specially for OwlCrate by SmashTat on Etsy. The artwork is very pretty and they seem to be high quality. Get 20% with the code "youreawesome20".

Next is Crazy Aaron's Thinking Putty. This magical putty changes colors with the warmth of your hands. You can squeeze it, stretch it or bounce it to relieve stress. I've already had fun playing with this stuff and it will definitely help during school.
Finally, there is the book, Magonia by Maria Dahvana Headley. It is about a girl, Aza, who discovers a new world and that she can be more powerful than she ever imagined. A signed bookplate and exclusive bookmark is also included.

I think this box is a lot of fun and includes some unique items. However, it's not my favorite box that they've done. The items are cool, but the tattoos aren't really my thing and I wish the notebook was a little higher quality. I do think I will enjoy the thinking putty though! I also really appreciate the signed book plate and bookmark. As always, I adore the packaging and love the design on the description card. Those things definitely add to the experience of the box.

The theme for the June box is "Diversity"!

Thank you again OwlCrate!
