April OwlCrate Unboxing & Thoughts

OwlCrate is a monthly subscription box service. Every month you receive a themed box filled with one Young Adult (occasionally Adult) newly released, hardcover book, along with 3-5 bookish items that correspond with the theme.
OwlCrate contacted me, and they offered to send me the April box for free in return for an honest review. The April theme is "All the Feels." Thank you so much OwlCrate!
Keep reading to get more information about OwlCrate, see what was inside the box, and what I thought of it!

Take a look inside the April box:

A pendant necklace from Forever Always Designs on Etsy. This necklace is very well-made and nice quality. I think the design is cool and I might would wear this to a book event, but mostly have it displayed on my shelf by my TFiOS book. Get 15% off with the code SHOP15!

A cute little soy candle from the Etsy shop From the Page which does bookish inspired candles. Mine is inspired by The Princess Bride! The scent I got is very fresh and soft, the site describes, "the scent is Love Spell (fusion of citrus, cherry blossom, hydrangea, apple and peach; with a hint of blonde wood)." I really like it, although it is small. I could see myself purchasing another candle in the future.

An awesome tote bag that OwlCrate collaborated with Bookworm Boutique to create. This tote bag is my life and it perfectly describes me when I'm reading a book I love. I am obsessed with bookish totes and love having them when I go to book signings. This one is quite large and seems sturdy enough to carry a good amount of books.

Finally, we have the book, Everything That Makes You by Moriah McStay. I've been interested in this one since before it came out. The tag line is, "One girl, two stories." I can't wait to see how these two stories weave together and to learn about this one girl. I'm sure it's going to be an emotional ride. The book also came with a signed book plate (YAY!), a matching bookmark, and a sticker.

I am super happy with this box. Again with this month, everything is packaged securely and nothing was damaged. I love how OwlCrate sends high quality and useful things. They don't just send cheap filler stuff that no one really wants. It's also great they feature Etsy shops, I love learning about bookish shops I didn't know about before.
This month, the book is less expensive (at $17.99) than the first box, but I still think the box is worth the money with all of the other goodies it came with. If I had paid for this one, I would be satisfied. I love this company and I would subscribe to this service. The only downside is that the boxes sell out fast each month, so it can be a little difficult to sign up. However, sometimes they do get extra boxes, so I would suggest getting on the waitlist and following their Instagram and Facebook for updates.

Thank you so much again OwlCrate for sending me the April box!

  1. I have been meaning to get a subscription box! They seem so perfect! By the Way I love your blog, how did you get the transparent background on your sidebars and up to your header! I have been trying to find something online to help me, but have had no luck :)

    1. I've only tried this box and one other, but I definitely like this one more :)
Aw thank you! It was one of the template choices, I think it was under the Picture Window templates, and I just chose the background to be white. Hope that helps!

  2. I must say I'm not a fan of owlcrate :/ I prefer Upperbox and I've actually subscribed to them, so a friend of mine will send it to me when she gets it! Hopefully they'll do soon int shipping and it won't be a lot, because the int shipping for owlcrate is too expensive :(

  3. That's interesting, just curious, why is it that you don't like them? Do you mean Uppercase? I haven't tried them yet, they did offer to send me the May box for review, so I'm excited to see how I like it. That's really nice of your friend! :D
