March OwlCrate Unboxing & Thoughts

OwlCrate is a monthly subscription service. Every month you receive a themed box filled with one Young Adult (occasionally Adult) newly released, hardcover book, along with 3-5 bookish items that correspond with the theme.
OwlCrate contacted me a few months ago, and they offered to send me the March box for free in return for an honest review. Thank you so much OwlCrate!
Keep reading to get more information about OwlCrate, see what was inside the box, and what I thought of it!

I am so excited to have received the first OwlCrate box. I love the idea and concept behind it. I know there are other services like OwlCrate, but I have never tried them, so I cannot adequately do a comparison. However, I do know that I am impressed with OwlCrate and I loved the fantasy themed March box!

I was so ecstatic when I saw the book that was included. I have wanted to buy A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab, but have held back because of my book buying ban. It also came with a matching pin and poster that displays both the U.S. cover of the book and the U.K. cover. It's gorgeous!

The box also included:
-Game of Thrones Vinyl Figure (varies with each box)
I got Ned Stark! I love both the book and TV show, so this was especially exciting.
-Enchanted Unicorn Bandages
These are hilarious and I will definitely use them next time I get a paper cut.
-Craft'ed Magnetic Bookmarks
These are made by craftedvan on Etsy, and are so magically adorable. I am currently obsessed with magnetic bookmarks. I cannot wait to use these.

There was also a card explaining everything in the box and describing how it all fits into the theme, which was funny and cute to read, along with a bookmark advertising for GeekyCon.

For me, it would cost about $35.00 USD, including shipping, and I think it is worth it. I mean, the book alone was $25.99 USD! However, it will be more expensive if you live outside US/Canada.

Overall, I am impressed with this box and I love the attention to detail. The packaging is nice, and everything arrived in great condition. It is evident that OwlCrate put a lot of effort and thought into creating it. The suspense of not knowing what is inside is so fun and would be a nice treat each month. I am seriously considering subscribing to the service.

Thank you so much again OwlCrate! I am going to have a blast using all my new goodies and reading this awesome book.

  3. Also, wanted to add that I will update my English book blog regulary now so you can check that out as well, since you don't understand German and aren't really able to read my German blog.

Here's the link to my English one:

Maybe you can follow the English one instead of the German one. That way, you can actually understand it haha :)

    Greetings from Germany,
